Strata, in the geographical sense, are layers of rock formations, developed slowly over millions of years. Much like this powerful and patient art of nature, handmade rugs also take time, care and deep intention to create.

With backgrounds spanning the rug industry, fashion and property development, we bring a unique blend of expertise that informs every aspect of our creative process.
This diverse foundation allows us to shape a distinctive design language- one that stands out for its fresh aesthetic, refined sensibility and forward-thinking direction.
Sandra has spent over eight years in the rug industry and has always been drawn to creating her own designs, having studied design at UAL and UCA.
Her Estonian roots give her a natural affinity for the clean, thoughtful principles of Northern design, which blends seamlessly with Diego’s formative time living in Milan- a period that deeply influenced his understanding of design and nurtured his appreciation for craftsmanship and style.

We are moved by the magic of slow craft; the wholesomeness of quality, the devotion to detail, and the soul embedded in every thread.

Nature and the ancient craft of rug making are our greatest inspirations. Through our rugs, we strive to tell the story of the land, the people, and their traditions.
